End of an Era in Tantramar with Mike Tower and Bruce Phinney Both Voted Out This Year
More here with Bruce Wark at "New Wark Times" with election 2026 results in the region:
Debbie Wiggins-Colwell is Tantramar’s new mayor as voters turn to several fresh faces |
The earlier group shown above from left to right...
Bruce Phinney, Bill Evans, Ron Aikens, Mike Tower, Shawn Mesheau, back row,
Marg T. King, Mayor Bob Berry, and Joyce McNeil, front row...
of that original group only Bruce Phinney & Mike Tower would remember the youth presenting in the Town Hall .. neither of them were re-elected this year.. Bob Berry passed away.. as did Ron Corbett... this group shown above did nothing to advance this project.. but perhaps the newly elected and very popular Town Councillor Ward 3 Tori Weldon will be able to ignite some forward motion on this project as she is raising two teenagers who are skateboarding youth here.
If Mount Allison University can continue to receive many millions of dollars for their on campus renovations surely our Tantramar budget can be stretched for a new concrete skatepark project now?
